The Middletown LIONS Club has planted a blue spruce MEMORY TREE at the Cone Branch "Pocket Park" [Main St. & Cone Branch]. This tree will contain blue lights--each one honoring the memory of a deceased relative or friend. The LIONS hope this will be enjoyed by all who both dedicate a light(s) and those who pass by on Alt.40 (Main St.). A donation of $3 per light in Memory of a loved one will help the Middletown Lions in their many projects which benefit Middletown Town and Valley residents. It will be a holiday 'bright spot" as one enters the historic section of the town. The Memory Tree along with the many homes who place white window lights contribute to the holiday old time charm of Middletown. The Middletown LIONS Club appreciates your support of this project. A temporary sign each year will designate MEMORY TREE and the Lions Club website. This project has been coordinated between the Town of Middletown and the local LIONS Club. The Holidays seem a very appropriate time to remember loved ones who are no longer with us. |
