Middletown Lion Receives Award
Lion Janet Young received a special award from the Lions Club for her work in recruiting more than 15 new members for the Club. Lion President Mo Bonde remarked that she had brought more members into the Club than any member in the history of the Club.
Lion Janet joined the Club in 1998 when women were first allowed to become members. Her husband, Joe, was a member of the Middletown Lions. Her father, Grayson Main, was a charter member of the Club when it started 79 years ago. She has held many positions in the Club and is presently a member of the Board of Directors, Chairperson of the White Cane and Broom Committees, member of the Charter Night, Friendship Night, Constitution and By-Laws, and Membership Committees.
